For President's holiday weekend in February, Brandon and Melinda came for a visit. This was Brandon's first trip to Oregon. We checked out Crown Point and Multnomah Falls and ate a picnic lunch in the car. Brandon and Melinda spent a day in Seattle sightseeing amidst the rain. We all drove together (Blaine, Marissa, and Mylee too) in the Suburban to Seaside, built a fire on the beach and cooked foil dinners. The weather was magical at the coast with no rain and a bit of mist and fog--so beautiful. Before Brandon and Melinda had to return to Utah, they had time to check out downtown Portand, the Portland Temple, and our local cafe. We had a delicious dinner with them at an Indian restaurant in Hillsboro named Swagat. On Tuesday we were sad they had to head back to Utah--it was great having them here during the holiday weekend.

Ahhhh, we wish we could have been there. That is a fabulous picture of Mylee in the water. I love the ripples in the water.
