Tuesday's pictures of Brady

We are enjoying sunny weather today--a good time to get some photos of Brady (even though he was sleeping through it all).

Chocolate!!

It seems our granddaughters have a bit in common--they love chocolate!

Birth of Brady, March 17th

On St. Patrick's Day, handsome baby Brady made his appearance about 9:30 pm. Blaine and Marissa were very happy with their hospital experience from their check-in that morning at 6 am to Brady's delivery that evening. I was home taking care of sweet Mylee while Dave was in Argentina on a business trip. Later that evening, Mylee and I drove to the hospital to see her new baby brother and our newest grandson.

Mylee meeting her new baby brother. Brady weighed 8 lbs. 9 oz., was 21" long, and his head circumference was 14 1/4".

The family. Blaine was a bit tired--he had some very busy days at work before hand and Brady's birth day was a long one. The day after Brady was born, Blaine ended up in the emergency room at the same hospital in terrible pain with a kidney stone--his first and hopefully last one. I think we all learned how important it is to drink plenty of water.

Mylee spent a bit of time with her Gram while her family was at the hospital. Here she is checking out the comfort of the doll's bed.

Mylee and her Gram enjoying homemade popcorn.

We even made homemade hot chocolate (her Gram is into making everything from scratch these days).

Marissa home from the hospital at last! Mylee holding diapered Elmo. Mylee is way into being a mom these days.

Do you think there is a resemblance between Mylee and her Auntie Melinda? We think so.

Handsome baby Brady with a cleft chin on the Monday after his birth.

Brady has a lot of dark hair--thicker on the sides and back of his head. He has beautiful dark eyebrows and steel blue eyes.

Here he is being burped but hoping for more milk.

March trip to Utah

We flew to Utah to see our family after being home a few days from our beach trip. Aubrey picked us up from the airport and we headed to Orem to stay with our darling granddaughters while Evan and Driel had a little get-a-way for her birthday. On our way to Orem, we had to stop off at Thanksgiving Point to take care of a birthday gift for Driel and so we stopped for lunch and had tasty hamburgers, salad, and fries (with fry sauce).

For dessert we ordered a "small" chocolate shake for Aubrey (trying to fatten her up) and were amazed at the size of the serving. All three of us enjoyed eating from Aubrey's "small" cup.

We went out to dinner to celebrate Driel's 28th birthday at Ruby River in Provo. Here is Brandon and Melinda with Fiona. Fiona and Moriah love and adore Brandon and Melinda!

Fiona loves to hug Brandon.

On Sunday we went to church at Evan and Driel's ward. Because of the time their ward meets, the girl's were pretty tired and hungry afterwards. Here is Fiona with her Grammy eating some pears.

Trip to Gleneden Beach with OJ and Vickie

We were invited to spend a few nights with OJ and Vickie at their condo in Gleneden Beach to celebrate OJ's birthday. We had a great time with wonderful friends, enjoying the beautiful coast (although it was a bit windy and cold), and eating delicious food! Their newest granddaughter was born in Utah while we were at the beach and so it was fun to hear labor and delivery updates about baby Camryn.

Here we are standing on the balcony of the condo with the ocean right behind us (it is amazing how close the beach is to the back of this property).

We had the most delicious breakfast in Lincoln City at the Wildflower Grill--even their hot chocolate was the best!

We loved the sunshine along with the wind and cold temps.

We stopped at a gift shop outside of Depoe Bay and found some fun hats to add to our collection. We think OJ looks quite in style in his "Flair Hair" hat.

For dinner one night we ate at a fabulous seafood restaurant--Tidal Raves in Depoe Bay where the waves were crashing on the rocks pretty close to the restaurant and we had an amazing view of the sun setting.

What a beautiful Oregon coast sunset!
